I operate from a harm reduction model supporting people wanting to explore having a better relationship with substances. I also support those wanting to abstain and maintain recovery. I approach use from looking at the whole person including environmental, societal/relationships, along with neurobiology. You will not hear me refer to substance use as a disease that needs to be cured. We often develop deep relationships with substances that are heavily influenced by the world around us and experiences that have shaped us. It is never just the individual’s “fault” that they struggle to manage a relationship with a substance. I offer a trauma-informed, open and non judgmental space along with cognitive based mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and ego states/parts work to support your goals.
Substance use very rarely if ever interacts as the sole challenge in our lives, rather it is a mechanism of care we have attempted to offer ourself to cope with deeper experiences and wounds. For this reason I offer a holistic approach and specialize in treating these deeper experiences.

My approach to working with trauma is deeply rooted in finding liberation of the core self. I work largely from a Relational Therapy model along with parts work to facilitate a deeper understanding of the self. I believe that healing happens in connection with others including with all parts of ourself. I largely work with attachment trauma, religious trauma, and trauma from living within oppressive systems.

My approach in working with ADHD is strengths based and acknowledging the many gifts that living with neurodiversity offers. I also work with the ways many folks living with ADHD have internalized experiences of living in a world designed for a very narrow window of functioning. I do not offer traditional style “coaching” for ADHD.

Most people who live with constant anxiety are simply tired of living with so much worry in their life, it’s exhausting. I work with my clients to develop a better understanding of their anxiety states and find ways of working with thoughts that keep you feeling like you can never relax. I also incorporate mindfulness strategies to support relaxation in the body.

Living with sadness, fatigue, and even despair can be debilitating. I allow free exploration and a non-judgmental space for you to explore the why’s and how’s of depressive states.

There is simply no timeline for grief or ways we should feel within grief. It often weaves into our life in ways we aren’t sure how to hold or navigate. I support my clients from a deeply patient and gentle nature while navigating any type of loss whether recent or long ago.

Letters for gender affirming surgeries require no more than one session. Every insurance company has their own requirements for these letters so please check with your carrier so that you can be properly informed. I am passionate about this being an accessible resource.
